Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin (7 October 1952, Leningrad, Soviet Union) has been the President of Russia since 4 March 2012.[1][2] One memorable Quote of his comes from a Conversation he had with a German-speaking Reporter in German. The Reporter said to him: "Der Westen hat eine ultimative Forderung. Sie sollen so sein wie der Westen, sie sollen die Regeln des Westens gefälligst akzeptieren." This means: "The West has an Ultimatum-like Demand. You should be like the West, you should kindly accept the Rules of the West." Vladimir responded: "Ich muss so sein, wie es mein Volk von mir erwartet." This means: "I must be the Way my Folk expect me to be."[3][4]
